A Word of Welcome

Welcome to the San Diego County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls!

Our Commission is dedicated to advocating for the empowerment and equality of all women and girls in our vibrant county. We work toward a future where every woman and girl may achieve her full potential, free from irrational barriers and limitations.

Our mission is to identify the unique challenges faced by women and girls in our community and to work collaboratively towards solutions that promote gender equity. Whether it's through addressing critical issues like domestic violence, homelessness, and human trafficking, or by focusing on education and career opportunities, we are committed to creating positive and lasting change.

We are proud to host events like the 'Know Your Rights Symposium,' which exemplify our dedication to providing women and girls with the knowledge and resources they need to navigate and succeed in today's world. This educational event, on March 9, 2024, is just one example of how we strive to be an inclusive, supportive, and educational resource for our community. Learn more on our Events page.
