Sherry Ludwig

Sherry Ludwig has been serving as Trustee on the Fallbrook Union High School District Governing Board since 2010 and is currently an appointed Commissioner on the San Diego Commission on the Status of Women since 2013. Sherry’s volunteer efforts in public service include her commitment to education and women’s rights. Her Fallbrook roots run deep as a member of her community for 36 years. She is the parent of two children who attended Fallbrook schools.

Sherry contributes to her community in many different ways. Not only as a school board trustee and San Diego Commissioner but also as an adjunct Spanish professor at Palomar College, a former adjunct Spanish professor at Central Texas College Camp Pendleton, Community Liaison of the American Association of University Women Fallbrook Branch, and Legislative Chair of the California Retired Teachers Association Fallbrook Division 81.

Included in her community outreach is Sherry’s non-profit business membership in the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce, the Fallbrook Art & Cultural Center, and the Fallbrook Democratic Club. Sherry has been an invited guest speaker, writer, and community organizer for policy issues concerning education, resources for women and girls, and the promotion of human trafficking awareness. In 2013 Sherry was asked to run for the position of Fallbrook Honorary Mayor.

Sherry has been recognized with honor through her affiliation with the following groups:

American Association of University Women California, Brooklyn College Alumni Association of San Diego, California Women Lead, Run Women Run, San Diego Democratic Party, Virginia Gildersleeve International Fund, Women Graduates-USA.

Sherry resides in Fallbrook and continues to work as an adjunct professor. Her son is a Corporate Operations Officer for a non-profit organization in San Francisco and her daughter is an attorney in the public sector in New York City.
